The Army Football Association (Army FA) is seeking to recruit a Football Development Officer to promote and develop grassroots football across the entire Army and to support the delivery of the FA National Game Strategy and Army FA Business Plan in partnership with key stakeholders and enhance the Army FA's major priorities.

The position reports directly to the Army FA CEO and is appointed by the Army FA Board of Trustees. In discharging your duties, you have freedom of movement to complete these tasks as you see fit, mindful of all relevant Army and FA policies.
To deliver and support programmes to retain, and grow, male and female football participation levels across the Army focusing on all potential opportunities from small sided to 11 a side to include walking football, masters/veterans events, “Just Play” centres/activities and Futsal.
To grow and develop our core volunteer workforce of qualified coaches, medical staff and referees through a comprehensive development and education programme with a variety of online courses/webinars and face to face events.
To promote and where required organise compliant training courses and CPD events, for our volunteer workforce, in accordance with England Football Learning.
To support the relevant Trustees by organising a series of annual football tournaments designed to maximize participation in the game.
Become the lead on promoting developmental projects maximising publicity opportunities via social media and the Army FA website raising the profile and perception of the Association and providing awareness of opportunities.
Be the lead in promoting FA-led opportunities via social media and website working closely with the FA marketing department.
To develop closer ties with significant County FAs in order to maximize our ability to deliver football in the community.
To work with the Governance Officer to support Units and Leagues across the Army in the successful application for, and retention of, England Football Accredited status.
To act as an advisor to the Board of Trustees on all football development issues in line with our published strategies.
