Job Title Graduate Submarines Platform Nuclear Engineer
BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site approximately5days per week. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

As a Nuclear Graduate you can expect to work in one of the numerous and diverse teams helping to deliver the Dreadnought Programme. In the first weeks you will be shadowing and gaining an understanding of how your team contributes to delivering one of the most complex engineering projects on the planet. This is a growing capability covering activities ranging from design safety assurance, engineering/technical problem solving to practical innovation and improvement projects. Support the design, build and test activities on the Naval Reactor Plant across multiple programmes
• Receive exposure to working with a range of stakeholders across the BAE submarines network along with external stakeholders such as the Ministry of Defence
• Gain knowledge of the nuclear industry and its regulations
• Carry out Nuclear Safety assessment of submarine design changes and deviations from the submarine design intent
• 2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering / Physical Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry and Physics
