CLASS 1 DAY DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: START TIMES:

£15.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Wigan.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of palletised goods with a permanent contract for the right candidate at the end of 8 weeks.

You must have two years' experience as a Class 1 Driver for this role.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to:

• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK CE Licence (CLASS 1)
• Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
• Must be over 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving a C+E vehicles.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English.
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.

Training

• Full training provided for this role
