The Role

As an Associate Test Modeller, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, Based at our Lincoln Office, although the primary workspace will be embedded with the customer at the JEWOSC, RAF Waddington, you will become part of an ever-expanding team of Mission Systems experts who will influence the way mission systems are designed and operate in an ever more complex environment with specific emphasis on the production, test, evaluation and validation of operational mission data. At the heart of the Mission Systems Solutions capability is our ability to manage and make sense of information and data; you will be, or will become, expert in the gathering, processing, assimilation, fusion of data, and exploitation of information for use in the on-board, off-board and interoperability areas. Specifically for this role you will have expertise in CEESIM Modelling with the ability to build medium and high complexity emitter models both under supervision and independently, and be able to mentor and develop other members of the team.

Essential experience of the Associate Test Modeller:

  • Developing medium and high complexity emitter models.
  • Ability to use links, triggers and multiple generators.
  • Ability to analyse and assess a CEESIM model using emitter preview, EGA and DPM.
  • Ability to read and understand Python code and transfer the data into a CEESIM.
  • Ability to extract the relevant parametric data from a JEWOSC data source, or equivalent.
  • Ability to build basic emitters including stable parametric types and scan patterns.
  • Competency in the basic use of Environment Generation and Analysis (EGA) and Digital Pulse Memory (DPM), or other modelling tooling.

Qualifications for the Associate Test Modeller:

  • Degree in a science, engineering or maths subject, or demonstrable and suitable experience with a willingness to develop academically and professionally.
