We have a fantastic opportunity for an occupation therapist to work in a mental health unit bases in a hospital setting in Craigavon

This role is full time Monday- Friday 37.5 hours per week for a 6 month contract

Salary £17.24 Per Hour

The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the ward multidisciplinary team to assess and provide personalised therapeutic programmes to support/enhance patients occupational functioning and provide recommendation for community living.

Day to Day Duties/ Responsibilities

● The post will involve management of a caseload of adults with mental illness with complex needs and who may exhibit challenging behaviours

● To assist with pre-discharge planning to the individuals community home and to work in partnership with community teams

● providing written reports, advice and recommendations as appropriate.

What We Need from You:

● Bsc (Hons) or Dip COT in Occupational Therapy and have Health and Care

● Hold a full and valid driver’s licence and access to a car

● Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI police check

What We Will Offer You:

● A minimum of 28 days paid holiday (pro rata)

● 24 Hour on call service that can be accessed for emergencies
