Please submit your tender, marked Private and Confidential by e-mail to info@pathmakers.Pathmakers is looking to contract an individual, or partnership to deliver: the walking 2024 festival (WN24); design and running of the Wellbeing Programme.
Following the successful delivery of the 2022 and 2023 festivals some early planning for the 2024 event are already in place. It aims to engage those less likely to walk and those less likely to access the Countryside. A self-guided walk of the day will also be made available on the website for everyday of the festival.
A Wellbeing Programme with particular interest groups e.g. Vision Norfolk focused on access to the countryside and containing an element of co-production with the groups . The Wellbeing Programmes should involve a day per week of engagement with a variety of different activities. The contract holder will report regularly to two named Pathmakerâ€s trustees. The contract holder will be expected to
work remotely
have access to good quality broadband and IT equipment
access to car or other transport to travel to events.
The indicative contract value will be £30,000 (including VAT if applicable) to cover time with a further allowance to cover expenses. Continue ongoing partnerships to enable WN24 in October: ie guided walks, partnership events (e.g. with dementia groups aimed at their service users); Co-ordination with the existing North Norfolk Walking Festival Co-ordinator to ensure that the pilot project to embed their events in the Walk Norfolk Festival is supported and delivered.
Deliver a WN24 Launch event scheduled for Sunday 29th September
Delivery of 1 walk leader training course for partners and walk leaders to include Risk Assessment and First Aid in late August or early September 2024
Identification/contact with a number of target groups for activities: eg, families with young children, refugees and asylum seekers, disability groups, and mental health groups.
Microsoft for document storage.
Promotion of events, updating website.
Establish and deliver the Wellbeing Programme developing ideas using co-production with selected groups such as Vision Norfolk or New Roots refugee group. A methodology for monitoring achievement is being developed via and external evaluator Experience of working with disability or disadvantaged is highly desirable.
Support the external evaluators in developing mechanisms for monitoring the achievements of the Wellbeing Programme.
Liaison with project evaluators and input into the evaluation process as required.
With the Partner organization(s) ensure a Risk Assessment process for all activities undertaken during the programme, including the maintaining of RA records. Comply with all aspects of the Heritage fund grant requirements including ensuring that Heritage fund support if widely recognized.
~‘The work must take into consideration all current legislation which would affect the project, including Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Licensing regulations, Disability Discrimination.’
~ Community involvement in this project is viewed by Pathmakers as being of equal importance in the production of the final report / plan. The consultant should allow for time / travel spent in the community in their costs.
The contractor is expected to contact the nominated trustees at the start of the project and then at agreed intervals throughout the contract. Pathmakers are looking for a contractor to be able to start as early as possible in April or May 2024

Relevant skills, experience and competency possessed by the consultant and other personnel who will work on the project.
The methodology to be used in the project under the following headings.
The Walk Norfolk Festival. The North Norfolk Walking festival. How you will work with the independent co-ordinator of this existing festival, to ensure that their projects are included in the programme and ensure that their needs are being supported. This is a new feature for Walk Norfolk 2024 and there is already agreement that the 2 festivals will pilot working together in 2024. Pathmakers has agreed to handle bookings, promotion and administration for the North Norfolk Festival.
