Established in 1970, we specialise in manufacturing a diverse range of plastic bags using cutting-edge machinery. As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to bolster our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Job Summary:

We’re on the lookout for a Maintenance Engineer with Multiskilled expertise in mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will possess a Level 3 qualification in both electrical and mechanical engineering and demonstrate proficiency in both disciplines.

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Utilise welding and fabrication skills as necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with the maintenance team to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimise downtime.

Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Mechanical experience in recycling or manufacturing.
  • Strong proficiency in servicing and maintaining mechanical equipment.
  • Solid skills in working with bearings, pumps, and hydraulics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
