Day Rate: £160 - £220

Leader Education are recruiting for experienced and qualified English Teachers that are based in or can get to Kirklees. The ideal candidate will have experienceworking with children that are either primary or secondary aged . The schools cater for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health majority of the pupils will be working to a GCSE level so experience of this and the ability to teach GCSE is crucial.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8am until 4pm

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice, and guidance to pupils.
  • English Degree / specialism
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • An understanding of SEND and an ability to carry out effective strategies and care in daily practice.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Adaptability and initiative to accommodate for various
  • learning types and abilities, striving towards social and academic development.
  • High expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves.
  • A current enhanced DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high quality lessons.
  • Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils of all different abilities.
  • Communicating with pupils, teachers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams such as Teaching Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Building effective relationships with parents/carers, sharing information regarding pupil's progress, behaviour and well-being.
  • Fun and effective lessons to engage all pupils.
  • Taking responsibility for pupil's educational development, ensuring equal provision for all.
