The role of QS/Estimator is key to the company's future development and success in delivering a continuous flow of new business and identifying future opportunities in both competitive tendering and design and build projects.

FGS Pilcher is looking to attract a Quantity Surveyor with broad commercial skills and a strong background in estimating whilst understanding the commercial drivers, risk profiles and key success factors for Clients procuring groundworks, construction and land drainage works. Gain a clear understanding of the Client's requirements to ensure that the project is structured correctly, to the correct timescales such that accurate project costs are generated and thereafter an appropriate quotation can be presented to the Client.
Be proficient in the use of CAD, site setting out /surveying skills - GPS or total station
Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, monitoring improvements that could be made to maintain a safe working environment.
Optimise business opportunities from networking events and to follow through all substantial leads.
Identify training requirements that will be beneficial to staff that will meet the business needs.
Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industry
Substantial experience within the Civils/Construction/Land Drainage sector
