The Head of Operational Risk Management Frameworks (ORMF) is responsible for the design, maintenance, enhancement and effectiveness of the framework by which Citi manages operational risk. The successful applicant will ensure that Operational Risk Management (ORM) policies accurately reflect the spirit and intention of the ORM Framework, and will partner with the ORM Head of Policy Governance to achieve this. The successful applicant will also partner with the Heads of ORM Taxonomies, Independent Assessment of Manager's Control Assessment (MCA), Issues Management and Lessons Learned to ensure the appropriate representation of the ORMF in these tools and programmes. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of how the ORM Framework contributes to achieving ORM objectives, and the objectives of Independent Risk Management as a whole.
Have a good understanding of industry approaches to operational risk management and contribute to of the strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas.
Have excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Have full management responsibility for 6 employees, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
Establishes and oversees the application of a clear and cohesive Operational Risk Management Framework, with an aim of creating lasting solutions for minimising losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
Through the ORMF, promotes the effective identification, measurement, control, monitoring and reporting of operational risks.

Promotes the use of risk indicators.
Supports corporate initiatives, including those related to Operational Risk and the alignment of capital assessments with risk management objectives.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Experienced in Operational Risk. Knowledge of other risk disciplines (e.g., market risk, credit risk) is a plus.
Proficient in developing new ideas to mitigate risk and improve current processes.
Consistently reads different situations accurately and takes appropriate action to gain senior colleague/ client commitment. Articulates clearly how risk technology supports unit's business, as well as the issues due to gaps between the current technology and known business requirements. Ability to measure and assess the impact of stress shocks including fat-tailed risks. Well-versed in reviewing the dimensions of franchise risk.
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred and managerial experience
