Are you a graduate or recent graduate in the microbiology or biological science field with some lab experience connected to microbiology or associated fields?

As a microbiologist working in a process/production environment you will be as part of a global organisation on a plant site, where the primary focus of the role will be to ensure the preparation and maintenance of starter cultures for bacterial and bio products manufactured on site.

As a microbiologist, biotechnologist, biological scientist, biologist or microbiologist you will assist in the process laboratory operations. As a microbiologist you will ensure products are cultured in line with Standard Operating Procedures and in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations; working to maintain the quality and quantity of the products.

Full training would be given with this role

Key Responsibilities

Process Microbiologist your responsibilities will include:

* Working as part of the process and development team, your main responsibilities will be ensuring the preparation and maintenance of the starter cultures of the products.

* Your other roles will include; isolation and storage of the bacteria.

* Creation of new culture lines as required.

* Ensure all processes are completed to the highest standards in accordance with Health and Safety and Operating procedures.

Qualifications and Skills.

* A degree in Microbiology or other relevant Bioscience degree.

* You will have previous laboratory experience and worked to standard operating procedures and health and safety requirements.

* You must have excellent attention to detail and a highly developed organisational skill.

* Confident and decisive individual who is able to work on their own initiative as well team player.

* It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office software packages.
