We have an exciting opportunity for an NMP or Pharmacist Prescriber to join our Wiltshire service for a 12-month maternity cover. Our integrated community drug and alcohol service is dedicated to supporting individuals across Wiltshire, and we want you to be a part of this transformative journey In this role, you’ll work within a dynamic prescribing service, collaborating with our Clinical Services Manager, Clinical Lead, and a passionate team of Clinical Team members, Team Managers, and Recovery Workers. Together, we’ll enhance the wellbeing of those we serve and empower them to create positive changes in their lives. Your Role and Responsibilities As a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will: Engage in opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions and benzodiazepine reductions. Administer detoxification medications and provide support for health care assessments. Conduct alcohol and opiate detoxification assessments, including Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccinations. Collaborate closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services. Participate in local prescribers meetings and receive one-on-one clinical supervision. You'll have the chance to shape service delivery and contribute to our commitment to clinically excellent services. Plus, you’ll have access to resources like RCNi for revalidation and support from our dedicated leadership team. Are You the Ideal Candidate? If you are: A registered professional with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or a qualified Pharmacist, already an independent prescriber. Confident in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and alcohol detoxifications. An excellent communicator who is highly organized and creative in developing tailored support packages.
