Theatre Technical Manager at Charterhouse

Charterhouse is looking for a Theatre Technical Manager to join its team and assist in the operation of the theatre. Are you a creative problem-solver, highly organised, professional and with a keen eye for technical details? Are you capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines, and liaise with a variety of contractors, suppliers and volunteers? Ifso, we hope that you will consider applying for the post.

This post will play a crucial role in supporting the work of the Director of Performing Arts, and ensuring the successful delivery of plays, musicals, concerts and other dramatic production as well as curriculum drama performances. In addition to a technical theatre qualification, you will have proven experience in at least one of the following: lighting, sound or set construction. You must also have a strong track record of theatre management, and ideally have worked in a similar school, or professional theatre.

A competitive salary is offered, together with additional benefits including membership of the Charterhouse Sports Club and the School’s pension scheme. Working hours for this role are an average of 37.5 hours per week, throughout the year with the requirement to work occasional weekends and into the evening.
