A new opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our clients expanding IT Team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience and will be committed to being a part of new and exciting infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  1. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining all aspects of the group’s infrastructure.
  2. Play a pivotal role in the development, execution operation, and maintenance of current and new operating systems.
  3. Work collaboratively with the company's Managed Service Partner to support and improve the company’s infrastructure and network.
  4. Be involved in and when necessary, project manage on the design, implementation, and roll-out of new systems/software, and networks.
  5. Deliver key technical projects, including moving the company’s infrastructure to a cloud-based environment.
  6. Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used.
  7. Be involved in maintaining and improving the company’s unified communications infrastructure.
  8. Work in an advisory capacity alongside other members of the IT Team to provide technical solutions to customers and manage customer expectations.
  9. Documentation, policy, and procedures production and review.
  10. Undertake projects on an ad-hoc basis as set out by your manager.

Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working within an IT Technical Team and knowledge of Microsoft platforms including Windows Server 2016, 2019, Windows 8.1, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience and knowledge of Services and applications, including Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, Hyper- and Remote Desktop Services.
  • Experience and knowledge of Routers, switches, wireless, and firewalls.
  • Enterprise server estates including Blade systems and high-density servers.
  • Enterprise networking including Cisco.
  • Experience and knowledge of cloud computing/services.
  • Good working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems, and basic computer hardware components.
  • Proven and relevant working experience in a busy, client-focused organization.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Planned, organized, and able to effectively work to deadlines.
  • Resilience and the resourcefulness to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
