About the Role :

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Primary Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and will have a passion for supporting their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEND, including those with a range of needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of SEND students.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Support students with personal care and medical needs.
  • Record and report on student progress and any issues or concerns to the class teacher and SENCo.

Requirements :

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting.
  • A relevant qualification in education or SEND (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, Level 3 Award in Special Educational Needs and Disability, etc.).
  • Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and
