TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Painter & Decorator to work in the Chertsey, Surrey area working in ultra-high-end mansions for a private property management solution company. The role will be working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8-4 or 9-5, with lots of overtime available. Must work weekends on a shift rota (roughly 1 in 4 but will vary). This role requires flexibility during their busy season (May to October) with regards to hours and days worked. Salary: £32,500 (Overtime after 40 hours is at time and a half) This is an exciting role for a talented individual who is looking for a new challenge, wants to join a fast paced and high performing team renowned for their approach and delivery of unparalleled service. We are looking for a Painter & Decorator to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis: Key responsibilities: Painting and decorating of various size properties, internally & externally. Hanging and lining of wallpaper and quantifying wallpaper amounts. Painting walls, doors, windowsills & skirting boards. French polishing of woodwork. Supporting other trades professionals to produce an excellent finish. Other related tasks and dealing with all painting and decoration tasks as required. To execute workmanship to a high standard and ensure it is carried out in strict compliance with health and safety work act. Excellent skills and practical knowledge of all aspects of decorating. Seasonal shift & on call rota. Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety. Any other duties as and when required. Unlimited overtime Working for a high-end client End of year rewards Private medical Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities: Painting & Decorating qualifications – NVQ or City & Guilds. Knowledge of current building materials and their uses. Experience of special paint effects & French polishing – desirable General knowledge of Building Regulations – desirable Health & Safety and COSHH. Fit & Healthy with the ability assemble and erect scaffolding, and to climb ladders. Be able to follow specific instructions. Have practical ability and manual skills. Full Clean UK driving licence. Significant proven experience. Personal Attributes: Highly conscientious, reliable, and punctual. Strong time management, organisation, and planning skills. High level of written and verbal communication skills across all levels. Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to use their initiative. Highly flexible and adaptable – ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends and be on call. Can work under pressure with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Highly professional and presentable. Able to work well in a team and unsupervised. Extremely confidential and discreet. Can follow instructions in a cooperative and accurate manner. Careful, accurate, logical, and methodical approach to work. Able to follow drawings and plans accurately. Strong practical ability with well-developed problem-solving skills.
