Expectations are clear:
  • At least five years of hands-on experience with cutting-edge real-time game engines, especially Frostbite
  • Solid understanding of performance and optimization for Frostbite
  • Strong communication skills adaptable to various audiences, including artists, engineers, and management team
  • Knowledge of Python, C#, or other scripting languages
  • Experience working with Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools like Maya, Blender, Houdini, Substance, or Photoshop
  • Strong math skills: 3D math, dot arithmetic, and working knowledge of analytic geometry
  • Capability in troubleshooting technical problems, along with the ability to document issues and their resolutions
  • The number and variety of tech-art areas of interest in your past activity are also important
  • Understanding of GPU processes, visual effects performance dependency
  • Experience developing and supporting art pipelines
  • Good artistic skills (proportion, color, composition)
Becoming one of the Dragons you will:
  • Work closely with game teams and fellow technical artists to develop test assets that accurately reflect the usage of Frostbite in games
  • Provide hands-on support to artists and engineers regarding asset performance and validation
  • Recognize and implement updates to game assets to leverage the latest features offered by Frostbite
  • Review the creative process and identify opportunities for tool improvements
  • Develop 3D art pipeline tools and extensions with an eye toward usability and efficiency
  • Solve challenging technical issues in the 3D asset pipeline
  • Collaborate with engineers and testers to diagnose and resolve in-game problems
  • Inspire and empower the art team to optimize their processes
