The Role

The overall purpose of the Lead Digital Designer role is to lead the work with the wider P&O Cruises Sales, Marketing and Brand teams to create innovative digital creative assets for use across multiple channels and platforms. Additionally, the Creative designer will be the brand creative voice in all digital development projects adding to the strategic conversation on UX/UI best practice.

The role will be accountable for ensuring that campaign and creative digital assets requested by the business are adequately briefed and produced to the highest standards and delivered within specified timings and budgets, through excellent resource and stakeholder management.

  • Develop and deliver the digital element of customer-facing commercial campaigns, maintaining aspects of our brand including best practice assets and templates
  • Help lead and develop our online design presence for the brand website, ecommerce & online advertising channels, with the view to achieving our commercial and brand objectives and supporting the digital strategy
  • Create and translate offline campaigns into digital assets to be used across all digital channels, challenging current design to move our online presence forward
  • Brand digital design guardian. Leading digital concept creation, ensuring consistent adherence to brand positioning, defined identity and guidelines.


Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK09 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with hybrid working in our Southampton office, a minimum of 3 days per week.

About You
Fresh ideas and different perspectives are what excite us most and help us to succeed. Alongside bringing these to the role, you’ll also need:

  • Extensive professional experience in an agency or in-house design role.
  • Experience of project management
  • Experience and skill of Figma and Foleon, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML5 and CSS
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with website UX and
