My client would look at electrical maintenance engineers, experienced controls or commissioning engineers
Our client is a prominent Global Engineering Manufacturer who design and manufacture technical components for the Heavy Forging/steel, Aerospace, Civil Engineering and Fiber Glass sector. This opportunity offers an exciting prospect for any Controls engineer or Electrical Maintenance Engineer seeking to specialise in a field where every day presents new challenges and opportunities.
The Elecrical Controls Engineer role involves working from the office with the occasional trips to customer sites ensuring the safe and timely delivery of allocated work, reporting completion to company procedures and the satisfaction of the customer and company. Approximately 80% of the customers are industrial, with the remaining 20% being Civil Engineering.
Additional responsibilities of the Electrical Controls Engineer:

In-house programming and testing
On-Site Commissioning
Field service and customer support
To be a successful candidate for the Electrical Controls Engineer vacancy, my client requires:

HND / Degree or equivalent apprentice training in electrical/electronic engineering
Proven Experience in PLC Programming - Ladder, High Level Programming such as SCL (highly desirable)
Functional Safety and Safety Programming experience desirable
CAD Experience (AutoCad, Eplan, Solidworks) would be an advantage
Knowledge of Electrical controls legislation (Regs, LV Directive,) is essential
Microsoft 365 (Office Tools)
