Finance Manager

Does additional store payroll drive incremental sales? What is Click & Collect worth to the business? How does our product mix impact store performance? How do we best protect merchandise in our stores? How can the business leverage big data? How does the European business best grow?
This Manager role offers a unique opportunity to be a truly commercial finance business partner. You will be responsible for delivering on exciting projects by providing insightful analysis - utilizing multiple data sources and appraisal techniques—to effectively communicate the answers to key business questions facing TJX.
The Business Analysis team supports the whole organization, partnering across Marketing, Operations, Property, Merchandising, Buying, Distribution, Ecommerce and more. This role therefore offers a great opportunity to gain exposure to the entire Senior Leadership Team and full P&L.
Key Responsibilities
- with senior management to support the development of strategies for the growth of the TJX Europe business and assess their financial impact
- with functions across the organization, providing financial and analytical support towards their goals and priorities
- and develop a team of 2
- cohesive analytical support to help inform strategic business decisions through the Senior Finance Analysts
- challenge current thinking and make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimize risk/cost to the business
- with business partners to build financial business cases to support large scale investments
- the business to conduct trials, consult non-finance professionals on Test and Learn best practice, analyze results using statistical software and present findings back to Senior Leadership
- an understanding of the external macroeconomics, competitive market pressures and offer insight and TJXE business model compatible solutions
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

- excellent communicator to non-finance business partners; skilled in translating financial or complex analysis in a simple and effective manner
- comfortable with complexity and ambiguity
- to interrogate and utilize analytical tools such as Excel & TM1 (essential) and Power BI or similar (desirable)
- qualification, MBA, or similar business planning experience preferred
- within a consumer facing business (Retail/FMCG)
