QC Chemist

Laboratory Chemist needed in West Yorkshire on a temporary basis. Requiring proven industrial experience in a laboratory setting, ideally within testing and/or development.

They specialise in the manufacture and distribution of adhesives, additives and lubricants for use in various applications ranging from automotive, construction, polymers and other speciality products. They are seeking a Laboratory Chemist to join their team in West Yorkshire to help manage the laboratory workload including performing mechanical and chemical testing, providing technical service and other laboratory work. This role would suit candidates that have proven industrial experience in a laboratory setting.

Performing chemical and mechanical analysis of manufactured products, using techniques such as XRF, Karl Fischer, IR, viscosity measurements, and density measurements
Supporting in other laboratory work
Immediate reporting of any out of spec issues to line manager
Accurate and meticulous input of data into ERP system
Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
Previous laboratory experience in a laboratory setting
Familiarity with Microsoft office and basic IT skills
Previous experience with aerosol testing/ development is useful
