We are working with a local authority in the South of England helping them in their search for a Highways Inspector. This role would be offered out initially on 6 month basis £30 p/hr inside IR35.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Highways Inspector to carry out all safety inspections including complaints to ensure the council meet their requirements under the Highways Act 1980 and maintain Section 58 defence.
- Looking for adherence to the quoted works, quality, safe working/appropriate Traffic Management in place, possibly identifying other defects on the network.
- You should have excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and be able to self-motivate yourself to work to the highest standards and prioritise your workload accordingly. Teamwork is essential to the role and you must be willing to support colleagues where necessary, receiving support in return.
