Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Buckinghamshire area
Permanent
Role Overview: My client are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team working on the HS2, the largest ongoing project in the UK. They are currently seeking a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in the Buckinghamshire area. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out tasks independently, occasionally leading a small group of commercial staff. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of commercial performance.

Independently carry out both periodical duties and one-off tasks within specified deadlines, as directed by the senior Commercial team.
Prepare and agree variation accounts for main contracts and sub-contracts.
Monitor costs against targets and track contract progress against accepted programmes and work plans, collaborating with other team disciplines.
Provide input into change control procedures for extensions of time (EOT), delays, and performance adjustments.
Prepare and agree interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts, and sub-contract final accounts.
Prepare and issue certification and payment of subcontractors.
Offer contractual advice to management to ensure compliance with contract and legal administration obligations, including timely issuance of relevant notices.
Identify potential commercial risks and evaluate options for their control and management.
Qualified with a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Proven experience at Quantity Surveyor level, demonstrating the ability to deliver positive commercial outcomes for associated projects.
Strong mentoring skills, with the ability to listen, learn, and integrate new concepts while guiding junior team members.
