AWN is expanding its Acoustics Team and is currently seeking an experience d Principal Acoustic Consulta nt. The successful candidate will join our dynamic team, leading challenging and exciting projects spanning various sectors, including data centres, pharma facilities, large-scale residential developments (LDR), and commercial developments. The Acoustics Team at AWN has 18 technical staff based in Ireland and Spain. We are also part of the wider Built Environment team at Trinity Consultants (our parent company) with acoustics teams in New York, Chicago, Toronto and Brisbane, Australi

The Principal Acoustic Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving project success, leveraging their extensive experience to be a leader in our team. Candidates should possess outstanding leadership qualities, be highly driven, and excel in a team environment. A strong balance of technical expertise and project management skills, exceptional communication/written skills are crucial to lead a variety of complex projects effective

Main Duties and Responsibili

  • nts.Technical report writing including preparation of technical specifications for inclusion in tender docume
  • nts.Providing mentorship and direction to team members and sub-consultants, ensuring high standards and effective project deliv
  • ery.Communicating with clients, external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with all project requireme
  • nts.Managing complex projects and program
  • mes.Crafting proposals and developing strategies to address and anticipate client ne

Essential Requireme

  • nts: 10+ years’ experience working in the consulting sector as an acoustic consu
  • ltantA track record in delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environ
  • ment.BSc or BA (Hons) degree in engineering, environmental science or related discip
  • line.Driving Lic
  • ence.Organisational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to lead initiat
  • ives.Must be familiar with current acoustic standards covering building acoustics, environmental acoustics, (LEED, WELL and BREEAM) and be familiar with acoustic modelling and calculation software and acoustic instrumenta
  • tion.Attention to detail, excellent report writing, and communication sk
