Job Description:

VHR is currently seeking 2x Electrical Fitters for our esteemed Aerospace client based in Bournemouth. As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for manufacturing harnesses, control module LEDs assemblies, and installing completed items into units, ensuring compliance with all required specifications. The role involves working in confined areas and using step ladders or platforms as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Demonstrate attention to detail and possess good communication skills.
Perform tasks such as stripping cables, using crimp tools (both hydraulic and hand), assembling connectors, soldering sleeves/splices, and using heat guns.
Uphold a "right first time" culture and solder to a high standard.
Act as a standalone operator on any given project.
Install completed electrical items into units, utilize hand tools to install fixed provisions, and make remaining connectors in situ according to specifications within the drawings.
Work within confined areas when required.
Manage paperwork/documents as per company procedures.
Provide own tools; specialised tooling will be provided by the company.

Requirements:

Experience in the aviation industry is essential.
Familiarity with harness manufacturing and electrical fitting.
Ability to work in confined areas and on step ladders or platforms.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in harness manufacturing, including selecting correct gauge cables, using the Raychem ident system, and cutting cables to specified lengths (both metric and imperial measurements).
