The Opportunity As a Shift Fitter at our Barton Under Needwood facility, your technical skills and problem-solving abilities will keep our production line running smoothly. This is a full-time, permanent position with a rotating three-shift pattern, ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and takes pride in maintaining equipment to the highest standards. Operate and maintain essential factory machinery to meet production goals.
Ensure all machinery and equipment are kept in optimal working order through preventative maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues, ensuring safe and efficient operations
Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for efficiency and quality enhancements
Apply welding, fabrication, and skills in hydraulics and pneumatics to keep equipment operating at its best
Who You Are Youre an experienced maintenance professional who thrives in a production setting. Youve completed a mechanical apprenticeship and hold relevant certifications, such as City & Guilds, B Tech, or NVQ Level 2 or 3
You bring solid mechanical skills in areas like metal fabrication, welding, and machine maintenance
Youre organised, detail-oriented, and able to adapt to the rotating shift pattern
