Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather project requirements and specifications.
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects.
Conduct thorough site visits and assessments to understand project scope, materials required, and potential challenges.
Utilize estimating software and industry knowledge to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs.
Maintain a database of suppliers, subcontractors, and material prices to support accurate estimating.
Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors.
Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing support to project teams to ensure cost control and profitability.
Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with specific experience in groundworks and civil engineering projects.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately estimate project costs.
Familiarity with estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
