Their unique approach leverages physics-based algorithms and generative AI to design novel drug candidates—without relying solely on experimental data. The company has already achieved several drug discovery successes through both internal projects and collaborations with pharmaceutical partners, with some programs currently in advanced stages of development.

They are seeking a Scientific Software Developer to enhance their computational capabilities, supporting the development and optimization of new drug candidates. The team operates with an agile mindset, frequently collaborating to review objectives, share progress, and tackle challenges.

Your Role

  • Develop and apply computational workflows for virtual screening, molecular property predictions, and compound library design.
  • Collaborate closely with AI and medicinal chemistry teams to integrate advanced algorithms into drug discovery pipelines.
  • Maintain and improve internal cheminformatics infrastructure, ensuring tools are reliable, scalable, and efficient.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in cheminformatics and implement best practices to keep the company at the forefront of the field.

Success in this role will be measured by the quality of computational insights you deliver, the robustness and scalability of your workflows, and the value you bring to cross-functional collaborations.

Your Profile

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in Chemistry, Cheminformatics, Computational Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in cheminformatics, including molecular modeling, virtual screening, and library design, with tools like RDKit, OpenEye, or similar platforms.
  • Programming proficiency in Python, with experience building scalable, reproducible computational pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex cheminformatics concepts into actionable insights for AI specialists and medicinal chemists.
  • Data analysis and visualization skills for interpreting and clearly presenting cheminformatics data.
