Assist the Risk Manager and the business with developing and maintaining the risk management framework. including working with reports and data identifying potential and actual credit risks amongst the live customer portfolio

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Identify relevant potential areas of risk relating to sold vehicles, ageing stock, counterparty risk, and overall portfolio risk by reviewing negative behavioural trends and making recommendations to mitigate such risks, including the ongoing management of accounts. Manage the escalation process and reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Mitigate the risk of new customer applications by searching Companies House, The Insolvency Service, public domain websites and other third-party registries.
  • Help to plan and organise large multisite customer audits in conjunction with our Regional Audit Managers to ensure the efficient and effective overall deployment of audit resources.
  • Ensure all customers are continually monitored, including Guarantors and personal assets, via third party Credit Reference Agent(s) and websites.
  • Retrospectively analyse of Potential Loss cases to identify opportunities to mitigate losses in the future by enhancing Risk controls.
  • Complete periodic audits with the Asset Registration Agencies, HPI, Experian & CDL to ensure Partner Finance Interests are recorded.
  • Monitor and control the additional security database to ensure that collateral cover is maintained, including charges over unencumbered stock and property charges.
  • Monitor market trends in vehicle pricing/sales and use this information to identify heightened risk positions within the portfolio.

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

  • Educated to Degree level and/or relevant experience in a commercial Risk environment within the finance/credit industries.
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret financial statements is desirable.
  • Excellent numerical skills, with good Microsoft Office skills in Excel and Access are essential.
  • Understanding of current Macro/Economic Risks.
  • Experience in asset-based lending would be advantageous.
  • Ability to compile reports and communicate findings in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good organisational skills and time management.
  • Ability to interact positively with peers and managers.
