Senior/Rights Sales Manager

One of the most exciting independent publishers, focused on creating beautiful and innovative illustrated books and gifts for children and adults, is looking for a salesperson to make an impact as part of their supportive and ambitious rights team.

Your primary focus is to sell co-editions and rights around the world, facilitating on-going and new orders. You will have the opportunity to work across a wide and exciting range of books, particularly children’s nonfiction, commercial, novelty and gift – spanning the entire catalogue

You will be expert in maintaining and solidifying relationships, while securing the best possible deals. Equipped with an excellent understanding of global markets and customers, you will demonstrable experience of identifying new commercial opportunities to support the wider list growth strategy, collaborating with internal teams and senior management. All aspects of the sales process are your bread-and-butter, from pitching to presenting, through to negotiations and account management.

Key Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven experience of delivering sales in a foreign rights sales role
  • Excellence in relationships management
  • Fluency in spanish language
  • Agile communicator with a knack for customer presentations
  • Familiar with publishing systems
  • Adaptability to changing markets and businesses

Market knowledge of Latin America & Spain may be of particular interest, however this is an exciting and unique opportunity as the role could be tailored in both territory responsibilities and seniority for the right person. Based on the needs of the team and company, travel to book fairs and customer visits may be required.
