FOR Cardiff is on a mission to improve and transform Cardiff city centre for its businesses and the wider community through strategic and innovative campaigns and initiatives. As such, we are pleased to be assisting FOR Cardiff, the UK's 5th largest Business Improvement District (BID) out of 340 in the UK, as they look to recruit for the brand new role of Associate Director - Strategy and Operations to support their recently appointed Chief Executive. The creation of this new role reflects FOR Cardiff's aspirations in becoming a more strategic and forward thinking organisation which delivers real change and impacts for the people and businesses of Cardiff city centre. This is a hugely interesting opportunity at an incredibly important time, supporting an ambitious and inspiring Chief Executive to help For Cardiff secure it's position as an industry leading BID.
Direct responsibility in leading the organisations operations as well as the Place Marketing, Place Management, and Member Relations workstreams.
Identify opportunities for the company to evolve and grow within existing and new markets.
* Analyse data and implement strategies to ensure FOR Cardiff remains a leader in the BID industry.
* Support the Executive Director in professionalising the company's performance management and training and development practices.
* Create reports for the leadership team and Board of Directors actively monitoring success of the workstreams, budgets and the company objectives, whilst also identifying any potential risks or opportunities.
* Ensuring robust and effective corporate governance, financial, performance and risk systems and processes are in place.
* Identify and implement operational efficiencies to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and strengthen the companies brand and reputation in the city and with members.
* Work with key public sector partners such as the Council and Police to ensure FOR Cardiff's projects deliver additionality for members and align where possible to partner objectives and their strategic priorities for the city.
You will be responsible for a team of 10 including the workstream leads for Place Marketing, Place Management and Member Relations workstreams including development an on time and on budget delivery of annual plans that align with the FOR Cardiff vision and strategy. You will help shape FOR Cardiff's internal culture to reflect its values and mission by fostering an inclusive work environment, whilst implementing initiatives to create a work environment that supports employees' physical and mental wellbeing.
Strategic and operational resource and budget management.
* Strong people and company culture management experience .
* Relationship building experience within Public and Private sector.
* Eye for detail and ability to identify trends, using this data for informed, strategic decision making.
* Able to converse effectively and decisively with a range of stakeholders whether that be the team, the Board, external bodies, or the businesses within the BID area.
* Salary £50,000 per annum + Annual Staff Bonus.
