Quality Assurance Coach (QAHSE)

 
The Role:
We're seeking a Quality Assurance Coach to oversee, guide, and advise our operational Project Teams, including our Black Hat Supervisors, on meeting quality standards during work. The ideal candidate will monitor quality requirements and address any health, safety, and environmental concerns identified during inspections and site visits.

 
You will play a key role in promoting and coaching quality control and best practices within our operational Project Teams across the Southern Region. Additionally, they will assist the Southern HSEQ Team in investigating local quality control issues, identifying root causes, and recommending areas for improvement. This individual will lead Quality initiatives in the workplace and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and Client standards are always met.

 
Key Responsibilities:

 
Quality (Primary)

Inspect, monitor, and support operational Project Teams
Coach and train operational Project Teams
Promote best practices and efficient working practices.
Support Digital IMS Platform (Ermeo) adoption and integration across the Region.
Promote our Quality Cardinal Rules and support our Right First Time Culture
Support our Project Teams to comply with our Quality procedures.
Champion innovation by introducing industry best practice techniques and technology into the business.
Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities.
Support the identification of trends in quality compliance and create appropriate action plans.
Support the production of Quality Alerts following quality-related incidents and poor quality standards identified on-site
Support the production of Quality Best Practice Bulletins and communicate to the Region on a quarterley frequency.
Develop and deliver quality training to project-based personnel.
Maintain 100% project visibility via inspections and visits every quarter.

 
Safety, Health, and Environment

Promote best practice.
Comply with company procedures.
Ensure work on site is carried out safely.
Challenge unsafe behavior and where required raise environmental concerns with the relevant Project Teams

 
Key measures & targets:

Undertake minimum 12 projects visit per month and ensure 100% closure with any outstanding actions within 7 days

 
Key Relationships:

Develop good working relationships with the Project Teams and Client’s technical representatives.

Person Specification:
The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:

 
Essential

Analytical skills to interpret detailed information and standard requirements.
High standard of written English
Good communication skills
Collaborative and Relationship orientated work ethic.
Ability to liaise with staff of all levels within the Region.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Full driving licence

HNC/HND or degree in Civil engineering or equivalent
CSCS Safety Professional card
Experience of working in a Civils operations environment
Experience of delivering Civil Engineering Projects
