Working with public in private owners and tenants of ports and marine terminals, AECOM plans, models, design and manages full range of projects throughout the globe.
The Ports & Marine division has a team of about 50 port engineers in the UK as well as approximately another 300 in overseas offices. AECOM’s UK Ports & Marine team are looking for an Engineer with experience in the maritime sector to support multiple UK and international projects, including:
Inspection and maintenance of old piers, quay walls and marine structures
Design, engineering and modelling civil structures.
To assist with project elements and scope, bid documents and providing project manager with assistance in supervision, inspection, and reporting with other project stakeholders.
To assist with project activities, as appropriate, and ensure the contractor's adherence to safety programs and insurance requirements.
To provide contribution in team discussions and demonstrate collaborative working in projects and tasks.
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience (preferably M/Eng).
Six months experience in undertaking detailed design of marine elements/structures.
Flexible to travel and able to divide time between home, office and client sites (Hybrid Working)
Demonstrate collaborative and communicative skills to achieve project deliverables and be able to discuss outcomes and challenges in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
Be able to obtain a CSCS Card
Civil or Structural Engineer
Working towards Chartership or Incorporated Engineer status in civil or structural engineering.
