Head of History - About the role:
We seek an enthusiastic and talented leader and teacher, ready to guide the curriculum and teaching in History and by doing so, to have a huge impact on the futures of our pupils.
The Head of History would be responsible for outcomes in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and would be responsible for driving forwards extracurricular provision in History across the whole academy. They will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Primary History lead to ensure there is coherence across the whole curriculum.
Experience of raising attainment in a leadership role in a challenging school
Evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of their subject through CPD and coaching staff
Evidence of leading and/or teaching KS5 History is desirable

Our Secondary Academy is a genuine school, with our pupils staying with us from Year 7 to sixth form. Because of this, we have a unique opportunity to have a long term and dramatic impact on our pupils' lives. This all starts in KS3, where our pupils develop, and grow a love of learning.

Our specialist teaching model allows pupils to benefit from expert teaching in PE, music, art, humanities and science and means all staff have time to plan each subject properly.
