Practice Accounts Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Practice Manager to join a well-established, growing, and ambitious Chartered Accountancy Practice who arebased in Central London.
They provide comprehensive accounting services to businesses and individuals with a strong commitment to excellence and client satisfaction. Reporting to the Operations Director and managing the portfolio of clients, planning production of accounts, tax, bookkeeping, with a team of staff.
* Oversee the preparation and review of accounts and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Manage/perform audits for clients across various industries, with a focus on consolidations and group accounting structures.
* Conduct in-depth research on tax issues, staying abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings to provide up-to-date guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
* Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and ensuring quality service delivery.
* Assist with tax enquiries, liaising with tax authorities and assisting clients as needed.
* Develop and implement internal processes and procedures to streamline tax operations and enhance efficiency.
* Support the growth and development of the firm by actively participating in business development activities, including client presentations, networking events, and proposal preparation.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACA, ACCA, CTA) preferred.
* Qualified in public practice with extensive experience in tax and accounting services within a professional firm setting.
* Thorough understanding of UK tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation and provide practical solutions.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to mentor and develop junior team members.
* Proficiency in tax software and MS Office applications; experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) is a plus. Ability to work across multiple information and processing systems, demonstrating adaptability to various software platforms.
* Experience with financial statement preparation software and familiarity with financial reporting standards.
* Benefits: 5 days office initially (Hybrid working after Induction), 23 Days + Bank Holidays, Health Insurance, Clear Progression Opportunities & Pathway to Director / Partner in 2-3 years.
* Contract type: Full Time / Permanent
* Hours: Monday- Friday 9am-5:30pm
