Our client is a leading manufacturer of heavy plant equipment for the construction industry, committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our clients worldwide. With a focus on innovation and reliability, they specialise in producing cutting-edge machinery to meet the demands of modern construction projects on a worldwide basis.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in assembling heavy plant equipment for the construction industry in a manufacturing environment. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of our machinery to meet customer demands.

heavy plant equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and other construction machinery, according to engineering drawings and specifications.
mechanical fitting tasks such as component installation, alignment, and adjustment to ensure proper functionality and performance of machinery.
hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and lifting equipment to carry out assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
with other team members, including welders, electricians, and quality control personnel, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into the overall equipment assembly.
quality inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of assembled machinery, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.
of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
experience in mechanical fitting and assembly of heavy plant equipment in a production setting.
understanding of engineering drawings, diagrams, and assembly procedures.
in using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly tasks.
attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
