Your new role
As CNC Lathe Programmer you will be required to interpret engineering drawings, knowledge of tolerances and engineering symbols. Operating, Setting & Programming of CNC lathe with Fanuc control. Produce components to the required specification, safely, efficiently and accurately to ensure production requirements are met. Carry out first inspection, including first-off inspection using gauges and measuring instruments as well as periodic inspections in batch quantities. Maintaining stock levels required for your work, reporting future requirements to your manager promptly. Maintaining your machine in good working order, reporting faults to your manager as necessary. Operating gantries as required. Working with others in a cooperative manner to ensure an efficient and harmonious atmosphere. Ensuring that your production time is allocated to the correct job. Any other duties as required from time to time by management which are within your competence to carry out.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have sound knowledge of CNC controls, Fanuc language. Good understanding of mechanical engineering and machining principles. Working as part of a team. Problem solving Skills for complex operations. Communicating well with Manager, colleagues. Organisation of your work activities to make best use of your time.
