CNC Star / Citizen Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator Responsibilities: You will be required to Set up and operate CNC machines to perform various machining operations. The machines are a Star SB16 Type 480 and Citizen Cincom L32 Sliding Head

  • You will require a good knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls and Wizard software.
  • Experience in manufacturing precison machined parts
  • Be able to read engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines as they arise
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
  • Proficiency in software for programming CNC machines
  • Experience with materials handling and operating logic controllers
  • Familiarity with hand tools used in machining operations
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical principles
Permanent Position Hours Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm Friday 7am to 3pm Overtime Company Car parking Pension scheme
