They deliver a wide range of services and innovative products, designed to exceed the exacting specifications and quality requirements of their customers.Person SpecificationAssertiveKnowledge of quality systemsKnowledge of measurementUnderstanding of engineering drawingsUnderstanding manufacturing processesGood communication and interpersonal skillsStrong Problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work on own initiativeGood understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor qualityPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotiveExperience of working in Quality AssuranceProficiency in MS OfficeStrong technical knowledgeStrong analytical skillsExcellent time management skillsHighly developed attention to detailStrong organisational skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentHave been in a similar role for at least 3 yearsAbout the Job:Reports to: Quality and Production Engineering ManagerResponsibilities of Quality InspectorEnsures incoming parts from suppliers and internally produced parts meet the quality standards and systems required.Responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.Ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards. Responsible for identifying and raising quality issues and for speedily resolving them to ensure zero impact to the customer.Duties and responsibilities·Support the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)·Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues·Work with internal and external parties to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards·Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels·Stop production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes·Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (IATF16949/ISO9001 /ISO14001 etc)·Assist with training of quality awareness·Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system·Assist with first off sample approvals·Keep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends that concern product quality·Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients·Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems·Train people within own work group·Support regular inspection meetings to establish an action plan for improving build quality·Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental PoliciesCRC Recruitment are a leading Midlands based recruitment consultancy covering vacancies across the UK.
