Robert Half is partnering with a Global Consulting Firm to recruit a highly skilled Scrum Master to lead the implementation of a greenfield Databricks and Data Lake solution. This role involves collaboration between the consulting firm and their financial services end-client, focusing on agile delivery excellence and ensuring the successful deployment of innovative data solutions.
Contract Length : Initial 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Daily Rate : £600-£650 via an FCSA-accredited umbrella company
Location : Hybrid (c.Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective team collaboration and alignment.
Act as a servant leader to delivery squads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in data engineering and analytics projects .
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and manage the product backlog, aligning priorities with the objectives of the Databricks and Data Lake implementation.
Mentor and coach technical delivery teams in agile practices, optimising their productivity and ensuring alignment with best practices for data projects.
Use agile metrics such as burndown/burnup charts, story points, incremental delivery, and cumulative flow to monitor and enhance sprint performance.
Address and remove blockers that may impede progress in delivering the Databricks and Data Lake solution.
Liaise with data architects, engineers, and business analysts to ensure alignment between technical and business objectives.
Demonstrated experience in managing agile delivery for Databricks, Data Lakes, or cloud-based data platforms in a greenfield context.
Proficiency in Scrum methodology and agile frameworks.
Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and familiarity with tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and similar platforms.
Proven track record in coaching and mentoring teams within data-driven projects.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively challenge and influence at all levels.
Experience in industries such as financial services, retail, hospitality, or other dynamic and data-intensive sectors is advantageous.
This role requires rigorous financial and criminal background checks.
