Role Description

KS2 Classroom Teacher (mixed-age class) to start September 2024 – fixed term.

Dallington School is looking for an ambitious and talented KS2 teacher to join our School staff from September 2024. There will also be an opportunity to lead a subject area across the school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be passionate about learning and keen to develop professionally.
  • Value and promote student voice within learning experiences.
  • Have recent KS2 experience with excellent subject knowledge.
  • Be committed to a holistic approach to education.
  • Have successful experience of, and a commitment to, enquiry-based learning.
  • Have successful experience adapting lessons to cater for a variety of needs, including higher attainers, SEND and EAL.
  • Understand and embrace the benefits of working collaboratively with colleagues.

Qualifications/Training

Essential

  • Good honours degree + PGCE (QTS)
  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English
  • Substantial evidence of continuous professional development

Experience

Essential

  • Significant relevant teaching experience
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Experience of leading change and innovation

Desirable

  • Experience of developing and implementing a new initiative e.g.
  • curriculum design
