Janikin Energy is partnering with a leading Zero Harm safety platform company to seek a Principal Environmental Engineer for an oil and gas project in Surrey.

As a Principal Environmental Engineer, you will have a key role in shaping the environmental strategy and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities will include leading environmental impact assessments, developing mitigation plans, and implementing best practices to reduce our ecological footprint. Working closely with diverse teams, you will offer technical expertise and guidance on environmental issues, fostering a culture of sustainability within the organization.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead environmental impact assessments for new projects and operations, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
  2. Develop and implement environmental management plans to reduce adverse effects on air, water, and land resources.
  3. Conduct regulatory compliance reviews and ensure adherence to environmental laws and standards.
  4. Provide technical support to project teams, offering advice on best practices and innovative solutions.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to raise environmental awareness and drive improvements.
  6. Monitor environmental performance metrics, analyze data to identify trends, and areas for enhancement.
  7. Stay updated on emerging environmental issues and technologies, integrating new developments into company practices.
Skills & Experience:

Skills: Experience in the Oil & Gas sector preferred, working knowledge in LNG, ability to handle Environment Engineering scopes independently.
Experience: Acquired through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and work placements.
Minimum Experience: 3 years in environmental engineering, with a focus on the oil and gas industry.
