Group Head of Health & Safety

The Group Head of Health and Safety will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the health and safety policies and procedures for multiple sites across the group. This is a newly created role with the scope to evolve and drive positive change, playing a crucial part in ensuring the well-being of our employees, clients, and the communities in which we operate. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, a proven track record of implementing successful safety programs, and the ability to lead and inspire The Airedale Group to a best-in-class Health and Safety strategy.

Bradford office with frequent travel to other sites
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and programs for the entire organisation.
# Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure the implementation of effective control measures.
# Identify and report safety performance trends, working with relevant internal stakeholders to develop improvement plans.
# Provide leadership and direction to a team of safety professionals, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to health and safety.
# Conduct training sessions to educate employees on safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
# Create a training matrix, that will ensure all employees attend relevant training sessions and understand the correct policies and procedures to follow.

NEBOSH qualified as a minimum/ Diploma would be advantageous. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a lead Health and Safety role. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective health and safety programs. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop proactive strategies. Strong leadership skills with proven success in driving a positive working culture.
