We are searching for a talented and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading and executing cutting-edge data science initiatives that solve complex business problems. You will be responsible for the entire data science lifecycle, from project conception to model deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI models for production use cases, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of applied machine learning methods in:
  • Price Optimization
  • Demand Forecasting
  • Leverage your expertise in Python, PySpark, and Scala to wrangle, analyze, and transform large datasets.
  • Demonstrate experience working with Databricks in both Azure and AWS cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, etc.) to ensure data-driven decision making.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. (Focus on technical mentorship, not people management).
  • Maintain a research-oriented mindset and stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and data science. (A Ph.D. in Computer Science or Statistics is a plus).
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing models to optimize performance and ensure business value.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in building and deploying AI models in production.
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or Statistics (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
  • Proven experience with Python, PySpark, and Scala for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience working with Databricks in Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior data scientists (technical focus).
  • Passion for research and staying updated on the latest advancements in data science.

Salary :

£65-85k, depending on experience.
