Assurance Analyst x 2

Edinburgh

6 Month Initial Contract

Competitive Day Rate

The key purpose of this role within the Client Assurance team is about developing a strong relationship with key outsourcers to oversee a strong control environment and influence third parties to delivery good outcomes for the business and clients. This includes undertaking key process and controls to service clients’ assets as well as performing key regulatory outputs and MI.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake key Investment Administration duties
  • Monitor the performance of the third party administrator with regards to asset servicing activities, interact and build effective working relationships to drive performance and a strong risk & control environment.
  • Ensuring outsourcer processes corporate events / Income timely, accurately and that the risk performance of third parties are monitored using our key intelligence sources and escalate as necessary
  • Investigating asset servicing / reconciliation items, challenging and collaborating with our third parties to ensure both corrective and preventative actions are taken timely, accurately and steps are taken to prevent re-occurrence
  • Liaising with internal and third party stakeholders each day, developing strong relationships and managing the demands of our clients
  • Take ownership of issues and see through to resolution

Background

  • A strong set of analytical skills, naturally inclined to analyse and challenge current processes and seek to ensure best practice at all times
  • Background in Platforms and/or investment administration / asset servicing of financial instruments experience, including corporate actions
  • Enthusiastic, demonstrates drive, determination and adaptability
  • Good interpersonal skills to assist with working with the team and across the business
  • Some knowledge of FCA regulations especially CASS and COBS would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experienced in the use of Excel to undertake reporting, data analysis
