The vacancy arose due to the well-deserved retirement of the long-serving manager, who held the position for an impressive 20 years. They are committed to ensuring a smooth handover and will provide you with all the support you need. Duties include Underwrite and manage a portfolio of high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients' property insurance needs. Lead and develop a team of 5 property underwriters, providing coaching, mentoring and performance management. Become a trusted advisor to your clients, ensuring they receive the best possible service. Contribute to the development of new insurance products to meet the evolving needs of clients. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting new business and renewals for a portfolio of private clients. You will be entrusted with a delegated authority of up to £4 million, and you will play a key role in ensuring the company meets its underwriting targets. To be successful in this role, you'll need: A minimum of 2 years' Team Leading/Management experience Strong Property Underwriting experience gained working for either a personal lines or commercial insurer or broker. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to build strong relationships with clients. Experience using Acturis or similar insurance software. Proficiency in MS Office.
