Manpower has an exciting opportunity for a number of Production Workers to join the team at our Client site in Yeovil based on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. Working as part of an established team you will be responsible for the CNC turning of Aerospace equipment in accordance with manufacturing instructions and customer requirements.
As a CNC turner you will manufacture parts from start to finish by centre lathe turning and stamping the finished products to confirm the quality of the assembly. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of machining, specifically CNC & Manual Turning, knowledge of hand measuring equipment such as Vernier, Micrometer, Thread and Plug Gauges and the ability to work in a customer focused environment.
The position of CNC Turner holds the following responsibilities:
Centre Lathe Turning will entail manufacturing of parts from start to finish, to Aerospace
OCQ - Operator Control of Quality (i.e. Stamping to confirm quality of assemblies are to
Engineering Apprenticeship (Desirable but not Essential)
Knowledge of machining, specifically CNC & Manual Turning or relative machining experience
The position requires the applicant to have an understanding of Aerospace practice
Any further training requirements will be provided:- Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e.
