You will join a recently created TRACTEBEL entity with very ambitious goals and exceptional projects. Created to support projects localised in the UK, the entity’s mission is to promote TRACTEBEL as a key player of the nuclear business in the UK.
Tractebel is part of a consortium in charge of the design and detailing of the reinforced concrete structures of the Nuclear Island of Hinkley Point C (HPC) Nuclear Power Plant, currently one of the world’s largest construction projects. HPC is set to be the benchmark for future construction of similar projects in the UK such as Sizewell C (SZC). This position is a great opportunity for you to develop your professional and personal skills and work on globally recognized projects.
As a Civil Engineer and steelworks specialist, you will:
# Ensure the technical coordination between all stakeholders involved in the Steelworks design and construction.
# Manage the structural integrity assessment activity of the Steelworks for new build nuclear power plants.
# Deal with requests raised by contractors during the nuclear plant construction.
# Prepare technical response documents to requests, ensuring quality and deadlines are met.
# Coordinate with CAD designers to finalize the detail design package for procurement and construction.
# Check and validate SW deliverables produced by the back-office.
# Be a member of an integrated team working on the project and report to the area pilot.

MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution).
Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design is a significant plus.
Experience in nuclear or complex industrial projects.
Agile and self-motivated towards improving personal performance and generating innovative outcomes.
