Job description

Our client is a not-for-profit organisation that works within a number of areas to improve society, such as Justice, Education, and Employment. They deliver an important contract that aims to help ex-offenders to re-integrate back into society andreduce the likelihoodof them re-offending.Working as part of a network of providers, your role will be to work with ex-offenders to help them achieve training, education, or employment opportunities.

You will be workingacross various locations in West & South West London

The role itself
You will meet with your clients individually and after assessing their personal situation, you will work with them to put in place some key milestones for them to move towards employment. You will assist them with employment support, job searching, and breaking down any barriers them may have to moving into employment.
Working closely with the employer engagement team to move people into sustainable, realistic employment. Taking on board their needs, you may also refer them to partner support providers as needed (i.e. substance misuse or specific mentoring).

Should you apply?
We are looking for people who are resilient, motivated and have a genuine interest in supporting the service users. Experience of working with offenders in some capacity is essential for this position. This may have been paid employment; as part of a Criminology degree placement; or even as a voluntary position.

You may be asked to provide cover for members of your team and filling any gaps within the service where necessary. You will therefore need to be comfortable stepping in to work with clients you have never met before.
