Job Description Senior Battery Concept Engineer - EV - Warwickshire - £55k to £80k

One of my key clients who are a leading innovator in the field of electric vehicle (EV) technology. As they continue to expand their battery technology division, they are seeking a talented Senior Battery Concept Engineer to join their team in Warwickshire.

Senior Battery Concept Engineer
Hybrid WFH - 2/3 Days Per Week
£As a Senior Battery Concept Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and innovation of electric vehicle batteries. You will be responsible for leading the conceptualisation, design, and development of advanced battery systems, focusing on enhancing performance, efficiency, and reliability. Lead the conceptualisation and design of electric vehicle battery systems, considering performance, energy density, cost, and safety.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to integrate battery systems into vehicle platforms.
Develop and optimize battery pack architectures, thermal management systems, and control strategies to meet performance and reliability targets.
Perform simulations, analysis, and testing to validate battery performance and optimize design parameters.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in battery engineering, with a focus on electric vehicle batteries.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive design decisions.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience leading technical projects or teams.
